Here is a self-study guide for becoming a program compiler on Outing Team. Please allocate about 20 minutes to follow along and practice, and you will find that Outing Team is very user-friendly.
The process consists of the following 6 steps
Step 1: Log in to the administration web app.
At the following address: https://tgo.outing.vn/
If you don't have an account yet, please create a new one. Contact the Admin to verify your account fully
Set up account information for yourself.
Information about the code package you are using, adjust upgrades.
Step 2: Game library and initialize a new program.
The content library consists of 800 games and questions, updated according to the TGO code package in use.
Select 'SAVE' to transfer content from the Community Library to your Library.
Click on "CREATE NEW" to add a new program.
Step 3: Fill in the program information.
Program Name: as you choose.
Customer Name: as you choose.
Program Date: as you choose.
Time: the time you use the app for the program.
Program Type: there are 2 types allowing the app to display game stations on the map. When teams log in successfully: if you choose 'Open all', all stations will appear; If you choose 'Open each station', only station 1 will appear, and after completing station 1, station 2 will appear (see more here: link).
Referee Machine defaults to you. Or you can delegate another account to operate this game.
Program Code: set by you according to your preference. Teams will use this code to enter the app (encouraged to make the program code similar to the customer's brand name - short, easy to remember).
Allow Scoreboard Viewing: used to manage whether teams are allowed to view the scoreboard of other teams in the same game/program.
Step 4: Set up the welcome page and app interface color.
Welcome Page: serves to post welcoming information for teams, tour schedules, usage guidelines, general rules, and contact information. You can embed YouTube videos (company introduction, program trailers, or live streams) here.
All users who download the Outing Team app and have a CT code have access to view the WELCOME PAGE.
Step 4.1: Installing 01 station
There are 2 ways to create a new station for the author.
Explain the following items:
Station Name: Set by you.
STT (Serial Number): The sequential number of this game station.
Points: The maximum score you assign to players at this station.
Response Time: The countdown time starting from when the team reaches the station to 'ping the game'. When the station's timer reaches 00:00, the submit button for that station closes.
Station Type: With 4 default colors. You choose the color and assign the content meaning.
Coordinates: The GPS coordinates of the station you want to set on the map (see How to get game station coordinates).
Minimum Display Distance 20m (meaning when players move within a 20m radius of the coordinate point, the app will 'ping' the game content on the screen. See more about display distance).
The content input area of the station allows you to type text, set external links, and upload images. The content is up to your creativity, and you can refer to the app's game library.
Finally, press the SAVE button to complete the station.
Step 5: Adjust, arrange, double-check, and save.
You can review or have the authority to adjust the settings of the stations and the entire program.
Finally, press the SAVE button to complete the setup process.
Appendix: Login QR code, edit content even while the program is running.
Click on the PROGRAM menu to view and manage your programs.
Use the search tool.
Even when the program is running, you can still edit program information or stations.
For example: adjust time, location, station content, color, points, program type...
Outing App automatically provides a QR Code for each program, facilitating referees or MCs to send to participants. Players can scan the code to join.
